The National Forensic Mental Health Service comprises of an 82 bed campus based at the Central Mental Hospital in Dundrum, Dublin 14 together with a community based day service at Ushers Island, Dublin 8. The National Forensic Mental Health Service also provides an extensive in-reach service to the prison system. The Health Services Executive currently employs over 240 people within this service and plans to incrementally extend its capacity to 105 beds by mid-2007.
There are a broad range of Consultant led Multidisciplinary services. Five consultant led teams currently operate within the hospital and include doctors, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists and social workers”
